Commercial Disclosure

Organisations considering a data licence are entitled to know how an intermediary is paid. This page states our arrangements and the commitments that follow from them.

Remuneration

  • There is no charge to an organisation for using this site or requesting an assessment.
  • A participating buyer may pay us a referral fee where an introduction results in a qualifying commercial relationship.
  • We never charge organisations, never pay or reward them, and never share any referral fee with them.
  • Referral fees are not assured. Entitlement depends on the buyer's decisions and its programme terms, which the buyer may change.

Standard disclosure: "This website is operated by an independent introduction service. We may receive compensation from participating organisations when an introduction results in a qualifying commercial relationship. There is no charge to businesses submitting an enquiry."

Independence

We are not owned by, employed by, or an agent or partner of any buyer, and we do not speak for any buyer. When we direct you to a buyer's application we identify it before you leave this site. The link may carry a code enabling the buyer to recognise that we made the introduction.

Conflicts of interest

  • Where more than one buyer may be suitable, we recommend on the basis of fit with the organisation and the buyer's published criteria, not on the basis of what we would be paid.
  • If we have referral arrangements with more than one buyer, we will say so.
  • If we judge that an organisation is unlikely to meet any buyer's criteria, we will say so rather than refer it.

What we do not do

  • Request or accept datasets, documents, credentials or payment details.
  • Give assurance of acceptance, price or timetable.
  • Negotiate or agree terms for an organisation or for a buyer.
  • Describe an enquiry that we have screened as accepted. Only the buyer's own confirmation counts.
  • Submit an application on an organisation's behalf. The organisation applies itself, through the buyer's channel, after agreeing to the introduction.

Editorial independence

Buyers do not commission, review or approve our reference material. The standards we apply are in our Editorial Policy.
